June 16th, 2012: The Painted Hills – beautiful geologic strata – 10 miles outside of Mitchell. Can you tell I loved this town?

I think I love Mitchell too! And I never been to that town. However, whoever named it must have been brilliant!
When I was in New Mexico for 3 weeks, the soles of my walking shoes turned that gorgeous red color.
